Status of this document

Written in plain language to describe what this website actually does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and it is not a contract. This note comes out when it has been reviewed.

In short

If you read this site and never send us anything, we do not learn who you are. There is no account to create, nothing to accept, and nothing running in the background that follows you.

  • The contact form is the only place we ask you for anything.
  • No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no third-party trackers.
  • No cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.
  • We do not sell what you send us, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

What this covers

This policy is about this website. Horizon Mind is an early-stage company and none of our products are in general availability yet, so there is no account, no dashboard and no product telemetry to describe here.

When a product does ship, what it collects will be documented with that product rather than folded quietly into this page.

What we collect

Only what you type into the contact form, plus the moment it arrived. That is the whole list.

The hidden field in the form

The form contains one field that is hidden from people and from screen readers. Automated submitters fill it in; you never will. When it comes back filled we drop the submission.

We mention it because a hidden form field is the kind of thing that deserves an explanation rather than a discovery. It collects nothing about you — it only tells us that the sender was not a person.

What we do with it

We read your message and we reply to it. That is the purpose, and we do not use it for anything else.

A small number of people at Horizon Mind can see enquiries. We do not publish what you send, quote you publicly, or attribute anything to you without asking first.

What we do not do

These are absences you can verify yourself — open your browser's network panel on any page of this site and watch what it requests.

  • No analytics or product telemetry of any kind.
  • No advertising, no conversion pixels, no remarketing tags.
  • No third-party embeds. Fonts, scripts and images are served from this site.
  • No profiling, no scoring, and no automated decisions about you.
  • No selling, renting or sharing your details for someone else's marketing.
  • No mailing list. We reply to your message; we do not add you to anything.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. That is the reason you were not shown a consent banner on the way in — there was nothing to consent to.

There is one entry in your browser's local storage, named hm-theme. It records whether you chose the light or the dark theme so the page does not flash the wrong one on your next visit. It stays on your device, it is never sent to a server, and clearing your site data removes it.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by a hosting provider, which keeps the ordinary request logs every web server keeps: the page requested, the time, an IP address, a browser user-agent. We do not control how long those are kept and we do not treat them as an analytics product — we do not query them to study visitors, and they are not joined to anything else.

We would rather say this plainly than claim an absence of logging that no hosted website can honestly claim.

How long we keep it

For as long as the conversation is useful. A security report stays with the issue until it is closed; a research enquiry stays with the thread it belongs to.

We do not have an automated deletion schedule yet, and we would rather tell you that than describe a retention policy we are not running. If you want your message deleted, ask us and we will do it.

Who else can see it

Two companies are involved in getting a message to us: the provider that hosts this site, and the service that receives the form submission and delivers it to our inbox. Both handle it for that purpose and no other.

Beyond those, nobody. If we were ever legally compelled to hand something over, we would tell you unless we were forbidden from doing so.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We would rather act on that than argue about which regime it falls under, so send the request through the contact form and we will answer it.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. We would prefer you raise it with us first, but nothing here is meant to discourage you from doing both.

Changes to this policy

When this changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If we ever start collecting something we do not collect today, we will describe the change rather than quietly reissue the document.

How to reach us

Everything to do with this policy goes through the contact form — questions, corrections, deletion requests, or a disagreement with something written here.

We do not publish a postal address or the name of a data protection officer. At our size that would be decoration rather than a route to a person, and the form reaches the people who can actually act on what you send.

Questions about this policy?

Ask us. We would rather explain what happens to a message than leave you reading a document about it.
