Terms
The terms you are reading this site under: use it honestly, do not attack it, and do not treat what we describe as a promise of what will ship.

Status of this document
Written in plain language rather than in legal register. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and it does not yet name a governing law or a dispute process — see "What this does not say yet". This note comes out when it has been reviewed.
In short
Read the site. Use the contact form honestly. Do not attack the site or use the form to send us something harmful. Do not pass our work off as your own.
Who we are
This site is operated by Horizon Mind. The registered name of the company appears in the stamp at the top of this page and in the footer, and "we" and "us" throughout this document mean that company.
What this site is
It describes our research, what we are building, and the kind of work we can take on. It is information, not an offer: reading it does not form a contract between us, and nothing on it is professional, legal or security advice.
If you need something from us that has obligations attached, that comes from an agreement we both sign, not from a page on this site.
Acceptable use
Read anything here, link to it, quote it. What we ask you not to do is short:
- Do not try to break, overload or interfere with the site or the systems behind it.
- Do not use the contact form to send malware, spam, or another person's personal data.
- Do not misrepresent who you are in a way designed to get a response you would not otherwise get.
- Security testing is welcome, but only under the security policy — that page is what makes it authorised.
What you send us
What you write stays yours. By sending it you give us permission to read it, act on it internally, and reply to you. How we handle it is described in the privacy policy.
Do not send confidential material through the form. There is no agreement in place to protect it yet, and asking us to keep something secret in the same message that discloses it does not create one.
One consequence worth stating directly: if you send us an unsolicited product idea, it may resemble something we are already working on or go on to work on independently. We cannot accept it as confidential, and sending it does not give you a claim over what we build.
Our content and our brand
The text, design, code and marks on this site are ours. Quote us with attribution and a link — that is what publishing is for.
What is not open is the identity: do not reuse the Horizon Mind name or mark as your own, and do not present a relationship with us that does not exist. Press enquiries and requests to use the mark go through contact.
Statements about future work
Research directions, prototypes and products described on this site are work in progress, and we label their status rather than blurring it.
Describing something is not a commitment to ship it, to ship it on a date, or to ship it with any particular capability or result. Directions change when the research says they should. Do not make a business decision on the basis that something described here will exist.
Availability
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change, move or remove any page at any time. Where we remove something significant we will try to leave a route to what replaced it.
Links to other sites
We link outward — to papers, tools and our own profiles. We do not control what is on the other end and a link is not an endorsement of it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on anything published on it.
Nothing here tries to limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
What this does not say yet
This document does not name a governing law, a court, or a dispute resolution process. That is an honest gap rather than an oversight: those clauses follow from where the company is established and how it is advised, and we would rather leave the space visible than fill it with a jurisdiction picked off a template.
When they are settled they will appear here and the date at the top of the page will change.
Changes, and how to reach us
We update these terms as the company and the site change, and the date at the top records when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you are reading it under the current version.
If a line here does not match what you expected from us, tell us through the contact form.
Something here unclear?
If a clause in this document does not match how you understood us, that is a problem with the document. Tell us and we will fix it.
